About Us
Established in 1975, Gistex has evolved into a leading textile company in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. As an integrated manufacturer—from yarn production, weaving to dyeing—we focus on high-quality 100% polyester fabrics. Our yarns, produced at Gistex Chewon Synthetic, are then woven and dyed at Gistex Textile, ensuring consistent, end-to-end quality.
With a monthly production capacity of 3 million yards, GISTEX serves both domestic and international markets. We maintain product excellence through continual improvement, investment in advanced machinery, careful selection of premium materials, and ongoing development of our skilled workforce.

Our Journey
Five Decades of Growth, Innovation, and Excellence
The Beginning
Our family business was founded. Our main office and plants are located in Bandung, Indonesia. We first started as PT. Gistex primarily produced commercial spun-weaving fabrics such as T/C, cotton, rayon, etc. Installed capacity was 1.2 million yards per month.
Dyeing & Finishing
We established spun dyeing / printing / finishing mills with technical know-how from Nitobo. Installed capacity was 2 million yards per month.
Going Global
Modernization of our spun dyeing, printing and finishing facilities to penetrate the world market from the home market. We started to export our spun fabrics to various export markets. Within 10 years, we grew to become a reliable spun-supplier for the local market and one of the leading textile producers.
Polyester Innovation
Lagadar and Nanjung processing unit began operations of polyester weaving & processing with Sunkyoung know-how. Installed capacity was 1 million yards per month. The polyester processing plant was opened with a capacity of 1 million yards per month.
Capacity Expansion
We installed 144 sets of shuttle looms to increase polyester-weaving capacity. Installed capacity was 1.2 million yards per-/month.
New Facilities
Purwakarta weaving unit was completed with another new polyester-weaving unit in West Java, Indonesia. We executed a number of projects to expand the Lagadar weaving unit and the Lagadar processing unit.
Gistex Chewon Synthetic
We established PT. Gistex Chewon Synthetic (G&C), with other Korean and Japanese companies, is to produce special texturizing yarns and special high-twisted fabrics. Install Capacity: 400 tons/month.
Quality Excellence
In April 2000, we received "Asean Development Best Economic Executive Awards 2000-2001". And in the same year, all units are certified for the ISO 9002.
Production Increase
Starting this year, the lagadar processing unit increased additional dyeing and printing capacities. Installed capacity was 3.5 million yards per month. Weaving polyester capacity increased to 1.6 yards per month. G&C Unit increased the capacity to 1,000 tons per month.
Machinery Upgrade
We bought a new machine for production support. The dyeing unit was upgraded. During this period, we installed some new machines for the integrated dyeing production system.
Green Commitment
PT Gistex Nishinbo Indonesia, with a processing capacity achieved 3 million yards per month, and weaving production result has been achieved 2.3 million yards per month. We are committed to getting the "Green Proper Company" certificate from the Ministry of Environment Indonesia.
Business Revival
This year was the revival of Gistex's business. We kept replacing old machines with new technology to improve the quantity and quality of the fabric production. Gistex launched a 3 million yards per month production capacity. Gistex's markets are primarily the Middle East, the USA, and Japan. Asia and Europe. From year to year, Gistex is striving to be a greener industry. "Gistex Go Green" is proof of its concern to the environment and a willingness to do more things to help the environment, both inside and outside of the company.
Digital Transformation
We implemented SAP S/4Hana as our ERP system.
Knitting Division
We established a new business line, knitting. The main target was the export market. Installed capacity was 500 tons per month.

Advanced Technology
Quality is the most important thing in our product. We always upgrade our machines with the latest machinery and technologies in weaving, knitting, and dyeing polyester.
Weaving Facility
Our company operates two weaving facilities located in Lagadar and Purwakarta. These facilities collectively produce 3 million yards of greige fabric per month. This achievement is supported by advanced production machinery from Toyota, Japan.
Knitting Facility
Our knitting facility is located in Lagadar, where we handle everything from greige production to dyeing, with a capacity of 520 tons per month.
Processing Facility
Processing follows as the key step after greige fabric production, with dyeing as the primary stage. Dyeing applies permanent, fade-resistant color evenly throughout the fabric. The process duration depends on factors such as fabric quantity, type, weight, and desired shade.
Laboratory Testing
We pay great attention to quality by focusing on every detail and conducting comprehensive quality checks in our state-of-the-art laboratory with advanced testing equipment.
Technology & Automation
We use the latest technology with automation and digitalization that is fully integrated with SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless operations across all departments.
Packing & Shipment
With caution and attention to workplace safety, we deliver goods and ensure they are received properly by the customer, maintaining the highest standards throughout the logistics process.
